performance
with digital video projection and soundtrack. 6 minutes,
2000.
"Urban
Junglism" is presented as a full wall projection
(approx. 20 feet). The video shows a techno-society
where security cameras track 'suspicious activity'.
The artist is seen walking in his neighborhood and
grafittiing the slogan "Information Divide
= Class War" on a number of locations while
cop vans and cars patrol.
During
performance the artist enters the space in front of
the projection armed with a can of spray paint, proceeding
to spray the slogan onto the projection screen.
The
video projection flashes the words "Alert"
and "Suspicious Activity".
